Laurence (Larry) Birch

Laurence (Larry) Birch is an accomplished executive with extensive experience leading technology and life sciences organizations. He has built and scaled companies across healthcare, biotechnology, and enterprise software, focusing on operational excellence, innovation, and delivering measurable results for customers and teams.

Larry has held leadership positions with Baxter Healthcare, EDS, NeoPharm, Datatrak, Anju Software, and Aksys, Inc., where he drove growth in clinical development, medical affairs, and enterprise technology solutions.

In addition to his corporate leadership experience, Larry serves as a commercial advisor to several emerging biotechnology and medical device companies and mentors early-stage life sciences startups through MATTER, a healthcare and life sciences incubator based in Chicago.

He is also a faculty member at the Lake Forest Graduate School of Management, teaching graduate courses and corporate training programs, and serves on the boards of School Health, Inc. and the Chicago Life Sciences Consortium.

Larry earned an MBA and MM from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Illinois, and is a Certified Public Accountant. He has been recognized twice on Crain’s Chicago Business List of Who’s Who in Chicago Business.
